Welcome to CJ’s Fresh Approach! I’ve been on a journey over the past 20+ years exploring food and recipes. I’ve discovered that food is more than just fuel—it’s nature’s medicine and also a source of joy. Great meals create deep food memories and are a profound way to connect with ourselves and others. Over the years, I’ve seen how making mindful, nourishing choices has transformed my own life, my health and that of my family.
It seems to me that now, more than ever, people are craving clarity, balance, and inspiration in how they eat. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why I’m here—to share simple, approachable recipes and practical tips rooted in whole foods and holistic living. Living healthy isn’t hard, especially with a little help. Whether you’re curious about plant-based eating, looking to elevate your cooking, or eager to explore how food can support your health, this is your space.
At the same time, this blog is about being flexible. It won’t be only focussed on plant-based eating - because life is all about balance and sometimes we just want a sumptuous slice of chocolate cake! You might just find a recipe every now and then for a batch of mouth-watering cookies, or a chargrilled steak balanced with lots of vegetables and a bright flavourful sauce. In the end, we’re all human and life takes us places that ask us to be flexible and to go with the flow.
