🌮 A Fresh Twist on Tostadas – If you enjoyed my tostada column, here’s a new way to shake things up. Instead of your usual Mexican crema or even salsa, try topping with my Avocado-Lime Dressing—its creamy, citrusy goodness pairs beautifully with crispy tortillas, black beans, and fresh veggies. A fresh approach in just minutes! The same goes if you’re serving grilled fish or shrimp tacos. Use the dressing in place of the crema for a lovely contrast to the smoky flavour of the grilled fish and shrimp.
🌱 Leftover Change-Up – Jazz up your leftovers in a delicious bowl! Take whatever you have on hand—like cooked rice and roasted veggies—then add some fresh ingredients and protein for contrast. Finish with a generous dollop of the Avocado-Lime Dressing and a crunchy topping, like crispy onions, crushed tortilla chips, nuts, or seeds, for the perfect super-charged meal.

🥦 Steamed Veggie Sauce – Cook up some broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas, beans, or any vegetable you love. Drain and then stir in very generous spoonfuls of the dressing – the more the better! Try it with roasted vegetables too. If you have them on hand, sprinkle over sunflower seeds or toasted pumpkin seeds for textural contrast.
🥑 Avocado Toast Amped Up – Remember the Avocado Toast Reinvented column? Instead of pureeing the Avocado-Lime dressing, make it chunky. Mash everything together (omit the water) with the back of a fork. Spread it on avocado toast and then pile on your favourite toppings.


🥚 Egg-cellent Spread – for the perfect feel-good start to your day, create your own breakfast sandwich to go! Toast an English muffin, spread with the Avocado-Lime Dressing, then top with a fried or poached egg, smoky tempeh or smoked salmon, some arugula and sliced tomato. Season with a little salt. Wrap in waxed paper to prevent drips and savour every mouthful.
🥪 Egg Salad/Chickpea Salad with Zing – If you want to give a new twist to an old fav, try swapping the Avocado-Lime Dressing for the mayo in your next egg salad or chickpea salad. Throw in some unpeeled cut up Granny Smith Apple. You might never go back to your old version again!
